On November 12, 2026, World Usability Day will once again bring together the international community engaged in usability, human-centred design, and the quality of the user experience.
This year’s theme, “Designing a Sustainable Future with Ethical AI”, invites reflection on how digital technologies and AI systems can be designed in ways that are sustainable, responsible, and attentive to human values and needs.
SIGCHI Italy is pleased to announce WUD-SIGCHI Italy 2026, which will take place in L’Aquila, at the University of L’Aquila, on Thursday, November 12, 2026, with local organization by Prof. Tania Di Mascio.
The 2026 edition will offer an opportunity for the Italian HCI community to come together around a theme that is both timely and increasingly relevant, exploring how HCI can contribute to shaping AI that is sustainable, ethically grounded, and responsive to individual and societal needs.
