From April 26 to May 1, 2025, a strong presence of the Italian HCI research community participated in the ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI 2025), held in Yokohama, Japan.
This year, the conference embraced the theme of Ikigai, a Japanese concept referring to what gives a person a sense of purposeāa reason for living.
Our community contributed to the conference program with a rich variety of papers, late-breaking works, and workshops, covering topics such as human-AI interaction, digital well-being, and inclusive design.
This collective presence not only reflects the growing international impact of the Italian ACM SIGCHI Chapter, but also strengthens our role in shaping the future of human-centered computing.
